LITTLE SQUIRT is the award-winning comedy cabaret about the process of sperm donation following musical comedian, Darby James, on an unforgettable journey through queer existential mayhem as he explores modern procreation and the ethics of reproduction. In the midst of this hilarious and heartfelt adventure through genetic questionnaires, medical screening and psychological evaluations, Darby finds himself as a sea man stranded in moral purgatory, faced with the unanswerable question: why, how, when — and should we really be having children? Winner of Best Cabaret and the Edinburgh Touring Award at Melbourne Fringe 2023, and nominated for six Green Room Awards 2024, LITTLE SQUIRT (previously titled Spunk Daddy), will be touring to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024 in partnership with Quiet RIOT award-winning producer Linda Catalano. The touring party will also include Director and Dramaturg Casey Gould (A Lovely Day To Be Online) and Associate Producer Georgia Wilder.

LITTLE SQUIRT is a show with a lot of heart, written for lovers of musical comedy and those considering procreation. This fundraiser is an opportunity to help the LITTLE SQUIRT team get across to Edinburgh in August and reach international audiences. The festival will be a springboard for the show and artists to engage with the global cultural sector and international theatre markets. It will help us build invaluable connections, and ignite other touring opportunities through the relationships seeded at Edinburgh Fringe.

As winners of the Edinburgh touring award, we’re receiving generous support from Summerhall to help cover venue, registration and marketing.
