SPERM DONATION AND EXISTENTIAL STICKINESS
LITTLE SQUIRT (previously titled "Spunk Daddy") is the award winning comedy cabaret about the process of sperm donation featuring all original songs by Naarm-based musical comedian, Darby James. Kicking off this 60 minute tear-squirting journey, Darby decides to become a donor after seeing a Facebook ad. He sets sail across the seas of queer existential mayhem exploring the absurdities of clinical procreation and considering his own future as a potential gay parent someday. It's an unforgettable voyage through genetic questionnaires, medical screening and psychological evaluations resulting in sticky ethical musings about the reproduction of our species. At last, Darby finds himself as a sea man stranded in moral purgatory faced with the unanswerable question: should we be having children?
Winner of Best Cabaret and the Edinburgh Touring Award at Melbourne Fringe 2023, and three Green Room Awards for Outstanding Production, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Direction, LITTLE SQUIRT is written and performed by Darby James with direction and dramaturgy by Casey Gould (A Lovely Day To Be Online).
